We had the pleasure of hosting the official launch of the CIRCLE project in Utrecht in the last weeks of januari 2025! With partners from across Europe, we kicked off this exciting initiative aimed at equipping secondary school students with knowledge and skills in Circular Economy (CE), co-funded by Erasmus+.
CIRCLE builds on the foundations of our ICEY and Climate-KIC Young Innovators projects. Together, we will develop new learning modules and hackathons that integrate:
👩🏫 Challenge-based learning
🤝 Entrepreneurial skills
🔄 Systems thinking
Throughout the meeting, we had fruitful discussions on the circular economy lesson plan, the pilot implementation, the circularity ecosystem, and how to best market and disseminate our work.
Of course, we also made time to connect outside of work, enjoying a great dinner on Monday at Copper Branch, a fantastic vegan restaurant!
This project will reach many teachers and students while fostering a circularity ecosystem that connects young minds with entrepreneurs. We’re excited to collaborate with Riga Technical University, Cleantech Bulgaria, Malta College of Arts Science & Technology, Center for Systems Innovation, Budapest School, and Anna van Rijn College. We look forward to the journey ahead!
